Tags enable you to categorise and filter different elements within your Pooltrackr account. You can add tags to contacts, jobs, pools, products, and users.
With tags, you can assign specific attributes or classifications to a contact, job, pool, product, or user, making it simpler to sort, filter, and search for pertinent data.
Managing/Creating Tags
Tags can be created and managed by navigating to Setup → Tags.
1. To create a new tag, click on the New Tag button at the upper right-hand corner of the page.
2. A new window will appear where you must enter the tag name and type.
3. Click on Save once you are done.
You can also create the tags directly while creating a new contact, job, pool, product, or user. To do this, type the tag name directly into the tags section of the create new job/contact/pool/user/product page. Hit enter after every tag you will be adding. Once saved, this tag will appear in the tags list when you go to the Tags page.
Tags List
The tags list will show all the tags that you have created including those that were manually entered during a new creation for jobs, contacts, users, pools, or products. Get to know the parts of the tags list here.
A. Search tag field - You can directly search for the tag using the name.
B. Types drop-down - You can filter the tags according to their types. Choosing a specific type will show all the tags created for that element.
C. Tag details - This field shows the tag ID, Name, Type and the actions available for that tag.
D. Actions field - This is where you can edit or delete a tag.
- Edit a tag - You can edit a tag by clicking on the pencil icon. In the edit tag window, you can rename an existing tag and assign it to a different tag type.
- Delete a tag - Clicking the red trash icon will allow you to delete a tag. Note that when you delete a tag, it will also be removed from the contact/job/user/product/pool where you have added it. Once the tag is deleted, it can no longer be restored but can be re-created. It will not be automatically restored in the contact/job/user/product/pool where you had it before.
