Update a Quote.

You can make direct changes to a quote that was saved as a draft. If you need to make changes to a quote that has already been sent to a contact, you would need to reopen the quote and make the necessary changes. 




Update a quote from drafts


You will see the list of open quotes and quotes that were saved as drafts within the open quote section. To update a quote that was saved, click on the three horizontal lines and select the Edit quote option.



Update a quote that was already sent to a contact


In cases where you need to update a quote that was initially sent to a contact, you would need to reopen that quote to be able to make changes. To do this, you may follow the steps below: 


1. Within the open quote list, click on the quote you would like to reopen and then Click on 'View details'. You can also click on the three horizontal lines under the Actions column and then click on View details.


2. Click on the Actions button at the top-right corner of the page, and select 'Reopen'. 


  • The quote will then be editable again and will allow you to add notes, edit the quote items, and tasks.


  • You can save the updated quote as a draft or you can select 'Preview and send' from the Actions button at the top-right corner of the page. 



Resend a quote


1. Click on the quote you would like to resend. 

2. Click on 'View details' or click on the three horizontal lines under the Actions column and then click on View details.

3. Within the 'Actions' button, click on 'Resend'


If you want to automatically resend a quote after x number of days, set that under the Quotes setup page. You can follow the steps from this guide here [insert link to quotes setup article]


Approve or reject a quote


The contact can approve or reject the quote through email. You can also approve or reject it via the web portal. 

Approving/rejecting a quote through the web portal can be done in two ways: 


  • In the Open quotes page, click on the three horizontal lines under Actions and select approve/reject.




  • Click on the quote you want to approve or reject and then toggle the option for approve/reject. To approve a quote, toggle the 'Approved' option. You will see a confirmation message at the bottom right of the page and you will be redirected back to the quotes list.



  • The status of the quote should show 'Approved'

  • To reject a quote, toggle the 'Rejected' option. If a quote is rejected, it automatically goes to the Archived Quotes page
    .

Once a quote is archived, it will no longer be editable.
