About Price books

Price books enable you to offer special product pricing to groups of customers. These can be used for a wide range of things, so we’ve listed some use cases below.

Scenario

How to implement

Special pricing (EG Trade / VIP)

A specific customer type gets a special price on all / some products.

  1. Create a new Price group (EG “Trade”)

  2. Upload / add the specific products and prices for this group

  3. Assign customers to the Price group

Location pricing

You have multiple locations, and pricing varies  on all / some products.

  1. Create a new Price group (EG “Athens store”)

  2. Add the technicians associated with this location

  3. Upload / add the specific products and prices for this location

Chemicals included servicing

Your regular service fee for some customers includes basic chemicals.

  1. Create a new Price group (EG “Chems included”)

  2. Upload / add the specific products at a $0 price

  3. Assign customers to the Price group

Seasonal pricing

Your per service rate varies, in line with seasonal recurrences.

  1. Create the product (EG Full Service) at the Summer price

  2. Create a new Price group (EG “Winter Full service”)

  3. Add the Full Service product, and change it to the Winter price

  4. Adjust the valid dates to suit your Winter period

Field pricing (LightSpeed integration only)

You have a Field price, that is different to the Retail price for some products

In LightSpeed

  1. Create a new Price group (EG “Field pricing”)

  2. Upload / add the specific products at the Field price

  3. Assign the relevant Field outlet(s) to the Price book

In Pooltrackr

  1. Ensure your Field users are assigned to the correct outlet in your integration settings
