Add attachments to invoices/quotes

Modified on Thu, 24 Oct at 9:26 AM

Overview

This article outlines the feature that allows users to add attachments, such as PDFs, images, or other documents, directly to invoices and quotes, and include them in emails. It offers a convenient way to provide additional information, supporting documents, or terms and conditions relevant to a specific invoice or quote.

Feature Highlights

    •    You can upload and attach up to 10 files to each invoice or quote, making it easy to provide supporting documents or media to your clients.

    •    Supported file types include: PDF, JPEG, JPG, PNG, DOCX, MP4, CSV, XLS, and TXT, covering a wide range of formats for different needs.

    •    Additionally, you have the flexibility to choose which attachments to include in the email message, ensuring only relevant files are shared with the client.

How to add attachments on invoices

1. In the preview and send invoice page, scroll to the Files section.

2. You can click on the upload option or drag the files and drop them in the upload box.

  • Do not navigate away from the page as this will interrupt the upload process. The upload status will be shown in the bottom right corner of the page.

  • You can upload multiple files at once.

  • Each file should not be more than 5MB.

3. View the uploaded files by clicking the 'View' button. The red rubbish icon will show a prompt asking for confirmation of the file deletion.

  • Select the attachment you want to include in the email by clicking on the checkboxes.

  • Any file that is not selected for inclusion in the email will remain securely stored in the file box, allowing you to keep it attached to the invoice or quote for future reference. However, it will not be sent as part of the email attachment unless explicitly checked.

4. Click on the 'Send' button at the upper right corner of the Preview & send page.

You can still add attachments to existing invoices within the 'Resend' invoice page.

Don't worry about losing the files even if they were not included as an attachment to the email message. For as long as they were uploaded and not deleted from the file box.

Attached files will be uploaded only when you submit the form. Files will not be uploaded if you navigate away from the page.
