Splitting an invoice

Modified on Mon, 8 Jul at 3:44 PM

Sometimes you need to split an invoice between two or more contacts. For example, an agency should pay for repairs, and the tenant should pay for chemicals. To accommodate this, we have the 'Split Invoice' feature. Please, follow these steps to understand how to split an invoice.

Make sure that both contacts or more (a tenant and agency/owner/others) are linked to the same pool

Go to Operations - Jobs - Jobs to Invoice page and select a job from the Completed Jobs list that you would like to invoice.

Click the 'Preview & Send' button from the 'Actions' section, to move to the 'Edit job' page, to check everything before invoicing

If you need to split the invoice between two contacts, the job must contain at least two products in the Invoice section

If you don't need to check job details, you can click the 'Invoice job' button from the 'Action' section to proceed to the 'Job invoice' page.

Once you are on the 'Job invoice' page, go to the 'Issue to' section and click the 'Add recipient' menu

If you have another linked contact, it will be available in the drop-down menu. Click on this recipient, and it will appear in the 'Issue to' section under number two.

Scroll down to the 'Invoice' section and select which products should be added to the invoice for Recipient 1 and which should be added to the invoice for Recipient 2.

Once it's done, you can check the summaries for both recipients by clicking the arrow button to expand more details.

You can personalize a message for each recipient and preview the email, invoice, and job sheet.

When everything is ready, click the 'Send' or 'Mark as invoiced' button to complete the process.
