Unlinking a Contact from a Pool

If a pool is currently linked to one or more contacts, there may be occasions when you need to unlink those contacts from the pool. For example, unlinking a contact from a pool is necessary in cases like when a tenant moves out, and you need to update pool ownership.

1. Unlinking Contacts without Water Test History or Associated Jobs and Quotes

• Navigate to the Pools list (Operations > Pools);
• Search for the pool from which you need to unlink a contact;

• Click on the 'View details' button and move to the 'Pools details' page;
• On the 'Pool details' page, locate the contact you wish to unlink, then click the 'Unlink' button next to their name. Finally, click the 'Update' button to save the changes.

2. Unlinking Contacts with Associated Jobs and Quotes

2.1. If your pool has one linked contact and there are associated jobs or quotes 

• Navigate to the Pools list (Operations > Pools);
• Search for the pool from which you need to unlink a contact;
• Click on the 'View details' button and move to the 'Pools details' page;
• On the 'Pool details' page, locate the contact you wish to unlink, then click the 'Unlink' button next to their name. You will see a pop-up window:

• If you agree to delete all associated jobs and quotes for this pool, select 'Delete all linked jobs and quotes' and then click the 'Save' button.

• On the 'Contact details' page, please don't forget to click the 'Update' button

If you prefer not to delete jobs and quotes, simply click the 'Cancel' button on the 'Unlink contact issue' window. Then, return to the 'Contact details' page and proceed to link another contact to this pool.

2.2. If your pool has 2 or more linked contacts and there are associated jobs or quotes

• Navigate to the Pools list (Operations > Pools);
• Search for the pool from which you need to unlink a contact;
• Click on the 'View details' button and move to the 'Pools details' page;
• On the 'Pool details' page, locate the contact you wish to unlink, then click the 'Unlink' button next to their name. You will see a pop-up window:

Choose a contact to whom you want to link associated jobs and quotes, then click the 'Save' button. 

All associated jobs and quotes will be linked to the selected contact.
